My supervisor and I drove for a couple of hours up state to purchase leathers, we bought about a hundred this time, it was Horse Racing Season and the Demand was High, so we pulled out the first Hundred and began inspecting them looking for abrasions, or tears, poor tanning marks, thin spots, the over thickness of the hide then excepting them one by one, and we did this a hundred times. Finally after getting the best, we went on the Elk, Buffalo and other skins just for custom stuff, we would take apart an old or out of order jacket and make a print out of paper and make a jacket out those skins! The Cow Hides were for the Quarter Horses Circuit as this Tack Shop had the Reputation of Sewing up the Best, orders out to many other States. So Many Years ago in my youth. Now living in Alaska, I dress warmly for the occaisional Sunny day that comes along, so I am buying a Leather Vest and seen the advertisement for this Vest and I need one, this has place to put tools and lots of them for the road trips down in the lower 48. I took a chance and made the purchase . Price was great, I was so suprised a week later here's my Vest, in Alaska ha. When I opened the package, the Leather was Flawless, the Stitching was perfect, the Seams without a mistake, thread nice and thick, the Zippers the strong ones up and down gliding was firm, the buttons a nice gentle click. Pockets as promised and the same quality, the leather nice and thick, I went back immediately and bought a pair of gloves just got them and a week. Better that good, Some body knows how to make them From Day One, kudo's! I can safely say we could not have matched this garment even with our reliable 1938 Leather Sewing Machine and we dare to change. See ya then.

The vest arrived in a very timely manner, and was to be a gift. As it turns out, it was a bit too small for the recipient, who is a biker. He want something with a particular logo on it. The vest is being returned with a restocking fee, even during a Pandemic state, and it was a gift. I would buy from them again, but would go to the store and try it on first. And I will the next time I am in Baltimore.
